Bruin was brought in as Assistant Coach for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams in Fall 2021. He will now be entering his third season as Assistant Coach for the Panthers.
Before getting to ACPHS, Bruin competed at the NCAA D.III level at Colby-Sawyer College where he studied Sport Management. While in college he competed all four years in Cross Country, and Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field. He was apart of Colby-Sawyers first ever Men's Cross Country Conference title, and was a big contributor to 3 Cross Country Conference titles during his time there. Bruin also helped contribute 3 conference titles for the Outdoor Track team as well, with 6 total Conference titles throughout his four years.
During his time at Colby-Sawyer, Bruin finished second place for Freshman of the year, named to three All-Conference teams, three All-Sportsmanship teams, won Most Improved for Cross Country his Junior year, and is apart of some leaderboards for fastest times in multiple events.
Bruin has come into ACPHS with the same energy he left after his College career with. Bruin helps coach the distance runners during the Track season, and has worked closely with Cross Country in his Assistant Coach duties. During his time as Assistant, he has helped the Panthers get two Men's and two Women's Track Conference titles, and helped with the 2022 Women's Cross Country Conference title. During Track and Field, Bruin in his two years has also helped the distance team take off 14 minutes of personal records through multiple athletes and multiple distance events.
