The ACPHS Men's Soccer team cruised past the Pratt Institute Cannoneers on Sunday, September 23
rd to the tune of a 7-0 victory. ACPHS is now 4-2 on the year, while Pratt drops to 2-6.
Unfortunately for Pratt, they were only able to suit up eight players at the start of the contest, which turned to seven players just 20 minutes in following an injury to goalkeeper Carter Boliek. ACPHS only sent out nine of their own, but it was still too much for the Cannoneers to handle. Junior
Noah Keith (Rotterdam, NY / CBA) got the scoring started in the 8
th minute, making it two goals in two games for the creative midfielder. He was followed up in the 23
rd minute by senior
Reid Laplante (Pharmacy Phd / Chateaugay, NY / Chateaugay Central High School) who scored his first goal of the year off of an assist from his fellow forward, junior
Austin Myers (Morrisonville, NY / Saranac High). Freshman
Anes Bostandzic (Utica, NY / Proctor High School) matched Keith for the team-lead in goals with his third of the year in the 36
th minute, and the game was well and truly over.
The Panthers had three freshman score their first collegiate goals in the 2
nd half:
Chuck Middleton (Cicero, NY / Cicero-North Syracuse High School),
Frank Cassano, and
Alex Nolan (Mechanicville, NY / Mechanicville High School). Overall, ACPHS outshot the Cannoneers 32-1.
ACPHS will look to continue their winning ways today, September 25
th, when they travel to Utica College at 4:00pm.
