Panthers Bounce Back After Tough Loss Last Weekend

Amherst, M.A. – The ACPHS Men's Soccer team improved (5-3-1 Overall) after beating Hampshire College 8-0 on the road Thursday afternoon.

Today's win makes the Panthers a force to be reckoned with in the YSCC, improving to (3-0-1) in conference play. Jay Carlson (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) found Charles Middleton (Syracuse, N.Y.) sprinting down the sideline with an exceptional cross; Middleton finished it with a header – putting the first points on the board.

Forward Alex Campos picked up his first goal of the season this afternoon – showing opponents just how lethal their entire roster is. Sahil Arora (Waterford, N.Y.) put home a pair of goals, making it six for the season.

In the second half, ACPHS completed the shutout – the Panthers have allowed just five goals in their last five matchups. Sam Rowley (Queensbury, N.Y.) scored his third goal of the season; Forward Othman Othman and Carlson all attributed to this dominant display of offense with scores of their own.

After the game, Coach John Adeseko voiced his opinion on his team's play: "It was all about keeping composure, moving the ball, and making the defense work. Goodwin, it's always great to get the 'W.' We must move on from this quickly and prepare for a tough matchup against conference opponent Paul Smith's.

The Panthers will look to continue their winning ways when they host YSCC rival Paul Smith's College Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1:00 p.m.
