Fitchburg, MA - It was another massive performance from your Panthers Saturday as they competed in a loaded field in Fitchburg. In total, 16 personal records were set, and three new school records were established. Regarding the performances, Coach Dikeman said, "This group has been going about their work really well this week. We're starting to see athletes round into form with only three weeks until Nationals. I'm especially pleased to see so many of our athletes get onto the USCAA leaderboard and establish automatic qualifying marks/times."
Senior, Ryan Haak (Depew, NY) continued his strong season winning the 100m dash out of a 80-man field, with a time of 10.87s. Haak continues to find himself at the top of the USCAA performance list in the event. Another Panther finding himself at the top of the USCAA performance list is Timothy Hudson (Hanford, CA), who on his final throw Saturday established a new Panther record in the Hammer, recording 39.04m. Fellow thrower, Samantha Marion (Ovid, NY), added an incredible seven meters to her Hammer mark, stretching the Panther record to 28.59m. Panther PRs came across all event groups where Morgan Scarzafava (Middletown, NY) took another 30 seconds off her Steeplechase time, while also PR'ing in the 800m. Michael Dean took over 4 seconds off his 800m time, with a USCAA automatic qualifying mark of 2:09.
