Albany, NY - The Panthers headed across town to UAlbany on Friday evening to participate in the Bobbi Palma Spring Classic track meet.
Headlined by two school records, the Panthers had an excellent meet given the windy conditions. Freshman Nicholas Burgess lowered his own 400m school record to 48.46, a time that was faster than some D1 runners. Speaking of breaking their own records, Nithya Gutta broke her own triple jump record by leaping 10.35m.
Some other notable performances came from Richard Serafin, who set three PRs in hammer throw, javelin, and shot put. Giselle Campbell came within a hundredth of a second of the 100m record, dropping her PR by over 0.2 seconds. Both Jaiah Barrett and Angelina Reish set PRs in javelin while Mason James set a PR in shot put.
The Panthers set a total of nine new PRs including two school records as they prepare for the USCAA Nationals next week in Springfield, MA.
