Albany, NY - Word of Life came to town on Wednesday evening to take on the Panthers in both women's volleyball and women's soccer.

Volleyball started first in a tight match.  The teams went back and forth, never letting the lead get too high for either side.  The first set came down to the wire with the Huskies walking away with a 25-23 win for the 1-0 lead.  The second set was copied and pasted as the Huskies took a commanding 2-0 lead after another 25-23 victory.  By the third, the Huskies kept riding their momentum and simply ran away with it to complete the sweep of the Panthers.

Soccer was a different story. While volleyball was still going on, freshman Brooke Coon (Stillwater, NY) scored her 2nd goal of the season off a great assist from Ailani Aleman-Rivera (Amsterdam, NY). With an early lead, the Panthers held their own, shutting out the Huskies behind Annaleece Melton's Cuba, NY) nine saves. 1-0 wound up being the final score as the Panthers split games with the Huskies.

Volleyball will be back on the road this Saturday when they head to Vermont while women's soccer will have more time to prepare for their next game a week from today against Paul Smith's College.
