Billy graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2009 with a BS in Exercise and Sport Sciences specializing in Athletic Training. Lyons has several certifications from various national associations; he is a Certified Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainer’s Association; he is certified in personal training, fitness nutrition, group fitness, and performance enhancement from the National Academy of Sports Medicine; and he is a Certified Speed Specialist from the National Academy of Speed and Explosion.
Lyons joined the Panthers in 2017 and has been a crucial part of the athletic department ever since. In addition to working for the Panthers, he also does coverage for local high schools and sporting organizations including the May-Day soccer tournament. He was the recipient of the 2019 Panther Award, an award given to an individual who displays outstanding leadership, commitment, and dedication to ACPHS Athletics.
In his spare time, Lyons enjoys working out and helping those in the Fitness Center to achieve their goals as well as spending time at the lake with his wife, Megan, and daughter, Cassidy.
