The ACPHS men's basketball team defeated the Culinary Institute of America by a score of 79-47 on Sunday afternoon in the final regular-season game of the season to clinch a spot in the upcoming Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference postseason tournament. In a win or go home matchup,
Casey Redfern led the Panthers with 33 points (including 23 in the first half) as a 17-0 run midway through the first half clinched the game for ACPHS.
In the first 20 minutes, Redfern scored 23 points which equaled the total from the Culinary team, as ACPHS took a commanding 45-23 lead into the break.
Paul Nolan scored a career-high 13 points for the Panthers, while
Peter Aiken added 12 points and blocked three shots.
With the victory, it sets up the Panthers against Berkeley College on Saturday at 1:00 PM. All games of the HVMAC Tournament will be played at ACPHS in the Albert M. White Gymnasium.
