Panthers Defeat SUNY-ESF

Albany, N.Y. -- The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Panthers (2-3) defeated the SUNY ESF Mighty Oaks (0-5) by a score of 80-61 on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers led by 9 at halftime and maintained a comfortable lead throughout the second half.


Ryan McVaigh led ACPHS in scoring with 26 points on 10-16 shooting from the field, 21 of those points coming after halftime. John Tremblay also had a strong overall outing for the Panthers, with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.

The Panthers used their superior athleticism to their advantage all afternoon to push the pace, totaling 25 fast break points and getting to the free throw line at will, where they shot 20-26 for the game.


ACPHS returns to action tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m., when they will take on Pratt Institute to open their HVIAC conference schedule.
