Panthers Fall to Bard on the Road

BOX SCORE

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.
On Thursday night, the ACPHS Panthers lost to Bard College 64-76, to go into the winter break with a 4-6 record.

Bard shot 45 percent from the field in the first half while the Panthers struggled to find their groove, with leading scorer -senior Casey Redfern (Binghamton, NY) going 0 -3 from outside the arc. The Raptors held a 47-30 lead going into the half.

To the dismay of the Panthers, one of the teams top scorers and rebounders - sophomore Ryan McVaigh (Ballston Spa, NY) - went to the bench with a knee injury 11 minutes into the game. He had already produced nine points and four rebounds by then, but he couldn't continue.

In the second half, Bard pushed the lead to 21, but a 13-3 run over an eight-minute span by the Panthers cut the deficit to 11 with 6:45 to go. The Raptors pushed back however and the Panthers never got closer than 10 in those last few minutes.

The Panthers got 25 points from senior Casey Redfern (Binghamton, NY) and 10 points and seven rebounds from sophomore Michael Beyer (Clifton Park, NY).

The Panthers will begin January with a conference game against Berkeley College on the 19th at home at 3pm.
