LYNN,MA- The Panthers of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences were unable to win in overtime in a Sunday afternoon matchup away at Fisher College.
The Falcons got off to a quick lead to start the game on a 14-2 run. ACPHS struck back and was able to shake off their rust with a 12-0 run to tie the game at 14 apiece. The rest of the first half included back and forth buckets by both teams. At halftime, the Panthers trailed 33-37.
In the second half, Fisher pushed their lead up to as much as ten points with ten minutes left in the game before ACPHS stormed back. ACPHS finally took their first lead in the second half with just four minutes left. With 1:52 left in the game the Falcons were able to tie the game to send it into overtime with junior
Earnest McNeil put back layup.
Fisher outscore ACPHS fifteen to seven in the five minute overtime to secure the win. Fisher was led by Earnest McNeil double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds. ACPHS was led by a game-high 30 points from
Casey Redfern.
John Tremblay added 22 points while
Ryan McVaigh scored 11 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
The Panthers close out the fall semester on Thursday, December 12th traveling to Bard College for an 8pm tip-off.
