Albany, N.Y. - The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Athletics Department hosted their annual Athletics Banquet at Shaker Ridge Country Club on Saturday April 30th, 2023.
The event was well ran and paid homage to all the athletes, teams, and coaches who contributed to a great 2022-23 athletics season. The event was hosted by Sport Information Director and Assistant XC/T&F Coach,
Bruin Smith.
This year was similar to past years, where the teams handed out two awards to individuals on their teams. These awards recognizing those the coaches felt were most deserving of "Most Valuable Player" and "Coach's Award." However, unlike previous years, the athletic department handed out new awards this year for the athletes. These awards included all the weightlifting awards from the year of weightlifting. These awards were handed out by Athletic Trainer Billy Lyons, and showed off how great the teams athletes were in the gym. The athletics department also gave out four scholarships to athletes who fulfilled the description of each scholarship.
