Charleston, West Virginia – The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Women's Soccer Team earned the #7 seed during a great regular season for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Tournament in Charleston, West Virginia.
The Panthers faced the #10 seed, Unity College, on Wednesday, November 5 at 1:30 p.m. The Panthers were victorious, 5-0. With the victory, the Panthers advanced and faced the #2 seed, SUNY ESF, on Thursday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m.
In a hard fought battle in the rain and through injuries the Panthers held tight during regulation and forced the match into overtime. After the first extended period, the teams went to a second overtime. In the end, the Panthers fell to SUNY ESF 1-0. ACPHS Head Coach,
Christine Kanawada, stated, "My team battled through adversity all game and put everything into this match." Kanawada continued with, "I am so proud of my team, they gave it everything and that is all I can ask for as a coach."
