Raptors' win 54-42 over ACPHS

Box Score ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Bard College senior Tytravia Riley broke Bard's career rebounding record in the second quarter, as the Raptors improved to 2-0 with a 54-42 victory over Albany Pharmacy and Health Sciences in a non-league game on Wednesday night.

Bard got out to an early lead and had a comfortable eight-point lead at halftime. But ACPHS (5-1) opened the third quarter with a 9-4 run and trimmed the deficit to three, using traps and pressure.

The Raptors responded with a 7-0 run and pushed the lead back to nine by the start of the fourth quarter, and the lead ballooned to 20 with just over five minutes left in the game.

Morgan Esperti (Charlton, NY) led ACPHS with 14 points. The Panthers shot just 22 percent from the field.

Riley, who is already Bard's all-time leading scorer, collected her 1,055th in the second quarter. She finished with 20 points, 19 rebounds, two steals and an assist, despite sitting out much of the fourth quarter.

Up next for ACPHS is Yeshiva University on Sunday, November 22 at 5pm. The game will be played at New York City College.
