Box Score ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - A 10-2 run early the second half broke open a close game and led the Bard College men's basketball team to a 75-58 victory over Albany College of Pharmacy on Friday night. The Raptors struggled at times with the Panthers, who trailed 35-32 a few minutes into the second half. In the end, Bard's superior depth wore ACPHS down, and the Raptors won going away.
The Raptors (1-0) led for the entire first half, getting up by 14 with 5:52 to go until halftime. But the Panthers (3-2) trimmed the lead to seven at the break, then scored the first four points of the second half. Five different Bard players scored in the ensuing 10-2 run, and although Albany Pharmacy got to within seven with 9:39 left, Bard finished the game on a 29-19 run to put it away. Sophomore
Alex Johnson (Malone, NY) led the Panthers with 17 points, and he also grabbed seven rebounds.
Ryan McVaigh (Ballston Spa, NY) added 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks. Bard's bench outscored Albany Pharmacy's 34-2.
