Alex Johnson (Malone, NY) scored a game-high 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead ACPHS to a 75-59 victory over the Davis College Falcons on Saturday. Following another conference victory of the Culinary Institute of America on Sunday, Men's basketball is now 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the HVIAC heading into February.
This one was a wire-to-wire victory for the Panthers, as they outscored the Falcons 33-24 in the first half and kept their stellar performance going after the break, scoring another 42 points to secure an important conference win. The player of the day was Johnson, who consistently was able to find space on the offensive end, scoring his 29 points on just 22 shot attempts. The entire Albany team was efficient in fact, as the shot a staggering 55.9% (33-59) from the field. The other leading scorers for Albany were juniors
Thomas Chalker (Boundbrook, NJ) and
Kyle Matousek (Jordan-Elbridge, NY), who scored 12 and nine points respectively, combining to hit eight of their 13 attempts. Seven made threes scattered throughout the lineup helped to quell any Davis thoughts of a comeback, as the Panthers now sit in fourth place in the league.

st, when they travel to Syracuse to take on SUNY-ESF.
