Four in Double-Figures as Panthers Win Regular Season Finale

Women's Basketball won their final regular season game of 2020 on Tuesday, besting the Monroe College-Bronx JV team 78-51. ACPHS will head into the HVIAC Tournament with an overall record of 10-11.

Things were back and forth in the first quarter, with ACP outscoring the Express 20-17. Monroe took a hit when an injury and some foul trouble forced them to play with just four players in the final four minutes of the half. Albany was able to extend their advantage to 10 before the break, led by senior guard Emma Webster who hit three three-pointers. Clare Snell also dominated on the defensive end, racking up seven steals and four rebounds.

The Express returned to full strength in the second half, but were unable to overcome an ACPHS team that found their shot in the second half. The Panthers opened the half on a 14-0 run that essentially put the result to rest. Albany had four major contributors in this one, none bigger then Snell. The sophomore star posted another outrageous stat line of 14 points, nine steals, seven rebounds and five assists. This performance is fresh off of huge three games where she was awarded HVIAC Women's Player of the Week.

Albany's leading scorer was freshman Hope Walker, who posted a career-high 22 points and added 12 rebounds. Seniors Emma Webster and Olivia Parmeter, playing their final game in Albert M. White Gymnasium, finished with 19 and 15 points respectively.

All sights for head coach Jackie Hotaling and co. will be set on The King's College now, as the Panthers will look to advance in the 2020 HVIAC Women's Basketball Tournament. Live Stats and Video can be found on HVIAC.com.
