The ACPHS Women's Soccer team closed out an undefeated weekend on Sunday, beating the Fulton Montgomery Community College Raiders 8-0. Fittingly, this moved the Panthers to 8-0 on the year.
The Panthers were in control from the opening whistle in this game, scoring three times in the first half and five times in the second half and dominating possession throughout. Graduate student
Emily D'Abrosca (Cumberland, RI / Mount St. Charles Academy), playing as a lone striker, scored all three Albany goals in the first 45 bringing her season tally up to 12.
Juniors
Shannon Donnelly (Delmar, NY / Bethlehem Centra High School) and
Julia Roemer (Latham, NY / Shaker High School) etched netted twice in the second half, with freshman
Izzy Mancini (Galway, NY / Galway High School) rounding out the scoring. Mancini also provided two assists, as the Panthers outshot FMCC 31-5.
This is the fourth game of the year where Albany as scored eight or more goals. Astonishingly, Head Coach Jonathon Woodrow's team has only conceded two goals all season, recording their sixth shutout today.
The Panthers will put their undefeated record on the line on Wednesday, September 29
th when they host Bryant & Stratton Albany at 8pm.
