Augusta, ME - The Panthers headed up to Maine to take on UMaine Augusta in a YSCC matchup. This was the Panthers first matchup against the Moose, being they just added soccer.
The Panthers headed up to Maine, where they saw six different Panthers score a goal for them to take home a win against the Moose. The Panthers came out trying to get ahead early, and they did just that as
Ian Rathbun (Queensbury, NY) found the back of the net in just the fourth minute. The sixteenth minute came around and
Matt Maggy (Plattsburgh, NY) was able to find
Charles Casha (Lindenhurst, NY) for Casha's first goal of the game. Three minutes later, Casha would get an assist finding
Jay Carlson (Saratoga Springs, NY) who put in his first goal of the game. The next two goals for the Panthers would both come from
Zackary Murphy in the tweenty third minute, which were both his first and second goals of the season. Carlson would continue his impressive season, and game and add one more goal before halftime putting the Panthers up 6-0.
After the half, the Panthers came out with Carlson getting his hat trick off a pass from
Gavin Carvey (Cato, NY) that led to a goal eleven seconds into the half. Carvey would score himself about six minutes later off a pass from
Vincent DeVito (Saratoga Springs, NY). Casha would score his second goal of the game off a pass from
Jay Carlson.
Jay Carlson would score his fourth goal of the game, a mark he has hit two other times now this season in the fifty seventh minute. That goal was off a pass from Carvey, for Carvey's second assist of the game. Carlson would get his second assist of the game by finding
Sam Rowley (Queensbury, NY) who scored his first goal of the season. The Panthers came together to win 11-0 and come home with the win.
The Panthers will have some time to rest up and get ready for their last couple of games, the next being Friday 10/13 against Vaughn College.
