Albany, NY - The Panthers traveled north to Paul Smith's to wrap up the regular season in a tri-match.
First, they took on NHTI at noon. Despite being shorthanded, missing two of their starters, they managed to win the first set 25-19. Morgan Bohlke (Glenville, NY) led the way for the team by recording a career high 18 kills. The Panthers fell short in the second set 25-16, then barely lost the third by a score of 26-24 before falling just shy in the third by a score of 25-21. Despite an outstanding 24 assists from captain Kathryn Braun (Guilderland, NY) and 10 aces for the team, they ultimately lost the match 3-1.
A few hours later, they took on Paul Smith's College who were fresh off a win against NHTI. Riding their momentum, the Bobcats took the first set 25-8. The undersized and undermanned Panthers struggled to put up points against the much taller Bobcats who then took the last two sets 25-10 and 25-9 to win the match.
The Panthers finish the season with a record of 3-9 and will soon learn who they will play in the upcoming playoffs on the weekend of October 19th.
