Troy, NY - The men's basketball team crossed the Hudson River on Monday evening to take on HVCC in a capital region showdown. 

Tristan Lisbony (Houston, TX) and Logan Yohe (Delmar, NY) started hot as they combined for 11 of the team's first 13 points. Brett Richards then scored the team's 15th point to secure the all time scoring record, surpassing Alex Johnson's mark of 1,268 points!

Despite securing the record, the Panthers struggled to keep up with the Vikings in the first half. They hurt themselves by committing 14 turnovers and committing 9 fouls, but the team still managed to shoot over 50% in the half. Defesinvely, they allowed the Vikings to shoot 60% from the field while they capitalized on all the fouls missing only 1 free throw. Richards finished with 12 first half points, but saw a 24 point deficit at the break. 

The Panthers then opened the second half on a 29-12 run led by Lisbony who dropped 16 in the half while freshman DJ Bridges (Hamsburg, PA) added 10 off the bench in the half.  The Panthers cut the lead to as little as 7 points, but the Vikings ran away with it in the final minutes to secure the victory 98-81, marking the fourth loss in a row for the Panthers. 

Richards finished with 19 points on his record breaking night while Lisbony erupted for a season high 21 points on 5 made threes. The Panthers will make their home debut Wednesday evening when they take on Vermont State University Randolph at 7pm.
