Albany, NY - The Panthers hosted the Ulster Senators in an exciting game.
In the first half, the Panthers got off to a slow start finding themselves down by 9 points, but then they went on a 14-2 run led by Logan Yohe (Delmar, NY) who finished the first half as the team's leading scorer with 9 points off the bench. Brett Richards (Kinderhook, NY) and Michael Leak (Delanson, NY) added 8 points of their own to help give the Panthers a 6 point halftime lead.
Coming out of the break, the Panthers maintained a small lead until about halfway through the half when the Senators tied it at 58. However, Richards led the team in an 13-0 run, which included a slam dunk. The double digit deficit was too much for the Senators to come back from and the Panthers would go on to win by a score of 75-66.
Richards finished the game with 20 points and 11 boards while Leak had 14 points and 4 steals. Yohe and DJ Bridges (Hamsburg, PA) combined for 26 points off the bench, including a strong performance from Bridges who drilled 3 threes en route to a career high 14 points.
The team will play tomorrow night at 5pm against Word of Life right before the women's team has their senior night.
