Albany, NY - There were three games on campus on Sunday afternoon - the first of which was women's volleyball who hosted both the VTSU Knights and PSC Bobcats while men's soccer also hosted Vermont. 

Volleyball started the day against the Knights in a thrilling game.  The Panthers lost the first set 21-25, but got their revenge in the second with a 25-18 victory. The third was very close as the Knights took it 25-23, but the Panthers answered by taking the fourth 26-24. Riding the momentum of winning the fourth, they secured the fifth set victory 15-11 to claim the match 3-2. 

A little while after the volleyball game started, the men's soccer team kicked off against against a depleted Vermont team who could only start ten players. The Panthers took advantage of the extra man to score just minutes into the game.  The Knights starting goalie was then ejected, which led to the Panthers running away with the game.  They wound up winning 6-2, featuring four more goals from star Ian Rathbun (Queensbury, NY), who also assisted on a Cherubin Mafoumba (Bronx, NY) goal. The sixth and final goal came from Amjed Handhal (Dubai). 

During the soccer game, the volleyball team started the second of their day taking on the Paul Smith's Bobcats, fulfilling a postponement from early October.  The Bobcats took the first set by a score of 26-24, but the Panthers responded with a 25-21 dub to even the series. After that, they ran away with it to win by scores of 25-17 and 25-16 to secure their second win of the day. 

Women's volleyball will play on Tuesday as they host Vermont again, but this time for the YSCC Play-Ins.  Both soccer teams will take on Vermont State Lyndon on Thursday evening for their final regular season games of the year.
