Albany, NY - Women's volleyball hosted the Paul Smith's College Bobcats in the team's first conference match of the season. 

The Panthers saw the return of Morgan Richards (Corinth, NY) as well as the collegiate debut for Aase Smith (Voorheesville, NY) in tonight's game.  The first few points were back and forth between the two teams with the Panthers taking a 4-3 lead, but then they ran away with it going on a 11-0 run to take a double digit lead. They went on to win the set 25-9. 

The second set again started out with a 4-3 Panthers lead, but this time there was no long run.  The two teams were consistently going back and forth with the Panthers slowly but surely growing their lead.  They built a 21-15 lead, which ended on a 4-0 run to close out the set and take a 2-0 lead. 

The third set was more domination, specifically by Grace O'Connell (Highland Falls, NY) who had several great kills. Brooke Godfrey-Fogarty (Cohoes, NY) also played well, recording some good kills of her own by putting the ball in some great spots.  The Panthers went on to win the third set 25-13 to complete the sweep!

Now 1-1 on the year, the Panthers will look forward to this weekend when they head up to NHTI for a YSCC meet where they will play a total of 5 matches throughout the weekend.
