Coach Perry joined the Panthers staff at the beginning of the 2024 season, bringing to the team extensive amounts of experience. Having been involved with women’s college basketball since 2000, He has amassed a win total of 267 between stints with the Junior College of Albany, SUNY Cobleskill, Russell Sage College, and Hudson Valley Community College.
Perry has coached five different teams to 20+ win season, including an appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament and a Skyline Conference championship with Sage in 2014. He has coached two teams that have been ranked in the top 7 nationally, one of which who finished second in the nation in team defense.
During his tenure at SUNY Cobleskill, the Tigers won the NEAC title in their first season in the NCAA after transferring from the NJCAA. Perry has experience recruiting several notable student athletes to their respective universities, some of which have gone on to win their respective Female Athlete of the Year and Regional Player of the Year awards. Some of Perry’s recruits have joined their school’s 1,000-point club and others in the 1,000-rebound club, including an athlete with an NJCAA All-American nod.
Perry graduated with a bachelor’s in engineering from Cornell University and an MS from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. A recipient of the Assistant Coaches Award in 2015, he is a member of the Basketball Coaches Association of New York and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
