In the concluding game of the 2010 season for the ACPHS women's soccer team, the Panthers dropped a 5-1 decision to SUNY Institute of Technology on Thursday afternoon.
After allowing the game's first goal at the 21 minute mark to fall behind 1-0, the Panthers were able to even the score seven minutes later when
Frances Ripepi (Amsterdam, NY, Amsterdam) scored her fourth goal of the season on an assist from
Alexa Schooley (Auburn, NY, Union Springs).
However, the Wildcats responded with two more additional goals in the first half, to take a commanding 3-1 into halftime. Two more second half goals for SUNY IT made the final score 5-1.
Despite the loss, first-year head coach
Christine Kanawada led the team to an extremely successful season with a final record of 9-3. Seniors departing the team include

Shannon Kelley (Blandford, MA),
Janice Harter (Florida, NY, S.S. Seward),

Kari McCabe (Fort Edward, NY, South Glens Falls).
