Steve Chikwem (Dallas, TX, Nigeria) scored a career-high four goals and added an assist and Zach Hecox (New Hartford, NY, New Hartford) scored three goals to lead the ACPHS men's soccer team to a 7-1 home victory over Vaughn College on Sunday afternoon.

The first goal of the game was started by Ben Fievisohn (Churubusco, NY, Northern Adirondack) when two minutes into the game the junior defender sent a long pass over the Warrior defense to Chikwem who blasted a low shot past the Vaughn goalie. Just 22 seconds later, Chikwem stole the ball from the Vaughn attack and was able to get through the Warriors and perfectly placed his shot in the top left corner of the goal to give ACPHS a quick 2-0 lead.

Kyle Caradori (Waterford, NY, Waterford) initiated the third goal of the game when his cross found the streaking Hecox who scored his first of three goals in the game. Hecox scored again off of a pass from Chris Wasacz (Schuylerville, NY, Schuylerville) and was followed by two more goals from Chikwem to give ACPHS a 6-0 halftime advantage.

In the second half Chikwem struck a corner kick that found Hecox who scored the final goal of the game for ACPHS and completed his hat trick. Frankie Tong scored late in the second half for Vaughn to account for the final score of 7-1.
