After a six-game unbeaten streak to start the 2010 season, the ACPHS women's soccer team fell to Medgar Evers College by a score of 6-3 on Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn.
Right from the start, the Courgars put pressure on the Panther defense and Medgar Evers was able to score two goals in the first 15 minutes of the game to stake an early lead.
Alexa Schooley (Auburn, NY, Union Springs) scored her fifth goal of the season in the first half to help bring the Panthers closer, but Medgar Evers added another goal to go up 3-1 at halftime.
Despite two second half-goals, one each from
Jen Bechard (Champlain, NY, Northeastern Clinton) and
Erin Student (Clifton Park, NY, Shenendehowa), ACPHS could not contain the attack from Medgar Evers. The six goals allowed by ACPHS were the most allowed in the 2010 season.
The Panthers return to action on Sunday in the annual Alumni Game.
