The ACPHS women's basketball team defeated the College of New Rochelle by a score of 70-18 on Thursday night as the Panthers won their fourth game in row. With the victory, ACPHS improves to 2-0 in the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference.
Katie McCormack (Proctor, VT, Proctor) led the team in scoring with 17 points as ACPHS came out strong right from the opening tip.
Alyson Johnson (Malone, NY, Franklin Academy), who scored 10 points in the game, connected on a jump shot to help the Panthers take an early 10-0 lead just four minutes into the contest.
Cassie White (Hermon, ME, Hermon) had a double-double for ACPHS as she scored 12 points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds while
Amber Batzold (East Greenbush, NY, Columbia) had 15 points and eight rebounds as the Panthers have one day off before returning to play on Saturday, their fourth game of the week.
ACPHS hosts New Hampshire Technical Institute on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
