Facing a tough squad from SUNY College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry, the ACPHS women's soccer team earned a 3-1 victory in a game played on Onondaga Community College.
Just seven minutes into the game,
Sarah Cope (Broadalbin, NY, Broadalbin-Perth) scored off an assist from
Alexa Schooley (Auburn, NY, Union Springs)to give ACPHS a quick 1-0 lead.
Frances Ripepi (Amsterdam, NY, Amsterdam) scored 11 minutes later off of a direct kick to increase the lead before SUNY-ESF scored with 14 minutes remaining in the half as the score was 2-1 at halftime.
Cope added her second goal of the game on an assist from
Michelle Cruden (Galway, NY, Galway) to account for the final scoring on the day as ACPHS improves to 7-1 on the season.
