The ACPHS men's soccer team fell to Hudson Valley Community College by a score of 2-1 on Thursday afternoon.
Zach Hecox (New Hartford, NY, New Hartford) scored the Panthers' only goal as ACPHS fell to 7-2-1 on the season.
The Vikings got on the board first, scoring in the 34th minute of the first half on a goal from Ryan Hanehan. Early in the second half, HVCC scored again to take a commanding lead. However, the Panthers pulled to within one goal in the second half, as Hecox scored as he took the ball at midfield and beat two HVCC defenders and slipped the ball past the keeper.
Despite creating good chances in the second half, the Panthers were unable to even the game and dropped their second straight game.
Adam Hoye-Simek (Broadalbin, NY, Broadalbin-Perth) was strong in net, making 13 saves for ACPHS.
