The Panthers sailed to victory on Monday defeating the Broncos from SUNY Delhi by a score of 66-53. The Panthers came out strong scoring the first eight points and leading the Broncos 40-20 at the half.
Leading the pack for the Panthers were
Kelsey Johnson with 12 points and 13 rebounds along with
Taylor Sullivan with 12 points and five rebounds.
The Broncos were able to cut the Panthers lead to nine early in the second half but the Panthers defense kept the Broncos field goal percentage at a mere 33%.
Alex Oaks had an overall outstanding game with nine points, four rebounds and four steals while
Katie McCormack and
Michelle Staiger each contributed 10 points.
Pam Sosa led the Broncos with 21 points and 9 rebounds.
The Panthers face off against Skidmore College at home on Thursday, January 19th at 7pm.
