Alexa Schooley (16 points and 14 rebounds) led a trio of Panthers with double-doubles as the ACPHS women's basketball team earned a 74-44 victory over Fisher College on Friday night in the team's first game since being named the number one team in the country in the most recent United States Collegiate Athletic Association poll.
After falling behind early by a score of 7-4, ACPHS reeled off 18 straight points over an eight minute span in the first half to take a commanding 22-7 lead. Schooley, who leads the team in minutes played, helped spur the Panthers with 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the first half, as ACPHS took a 36-19 lead into halftime.
Kelsey Johnson (16 points and 12 rebounds), and 
Taylor Sullivan (10 points and 11 rebounds) controlled the inside for ACPHS as the Panthers used their height advantage to dominate Fisher on the boards, holding a 64-39 rebounding advantage in the game. 
Megan Serley added nine points while 
Kristen McKeel chipped in with six points and eight rebounds for ACPHS.
The Panthers, who improved to 8-1 on the season, travel to Middlebury College on Sunday.
