The ACPHS women's basketball team defeated SUNY-Delhi by a score of 65-54 on Tuesday night to improve to 10-2 on the season.
Kelsey Johnson led the Panthers with 17 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocked shots as the Panthers jumped out to an early lead and hung on at the end for the win.
In the first half, ACPHS was able to take control thanks to the strong play from Johnson, who scored 11 points in the first half, and
Taylor Sullivan, who had 12 points in the opening half as the Panthers held a 36-37 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Broncos fought back and pulled to within one points (55-54) with three minutes to play, but ACPHS was a perfect six-for-six from the free throw line in the final minutes to seal the game.
Alyson Johnson (13 points), and
Megan Serley (10 points) also reached double figures for the Panthers who host Vermont Tech on Thursday at 6:00.
