Albany, NY- On Saturday, February 14 St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn made the trip to ACPHS to face off against the Panthers in a key HVIAC contest and the Panthers "Senior Game". This game was the final regular season contest for ACPHS seniors Alexa Schooley, Taylor Sullivan, Megan Serley and Jessica Manning. The game was key for both teams who were fighting for playoff positioning and seeding for the upcoming HVIAC Conference Tournament at ACPHS on Februart 21-22, 2015. In front of a great crowd the Panthers put up a great battle and scored the victory, 54-49 over St. Joe's.
The game's opening half saw both teams battling on both ends of the court and at the end of the first half St. Joe's had the 25-24 advantage. The Panthers were able to rally in the second half behind senior leaders Megan Serley who finished with 14 points and Alexa Schooley who finished with 12 points, and scored a victory in their final home game 54-49. St. Joe's was led by Destiny Marino who finished with 13 points.
The Panthers, next face SUNY Delhi on Sunday, February 15 in their final regular season contest. With the victory the Panthers improve to 12-7 overall and 4-1 in the HVIAC.
