Hanlon's Goal Lifts ACPHS Past SUNY Delhi 1-0 in USCAA Match Up

BOX SCORE

The Panthers won in dramatic fashion on Thursday in a 1-0 win over SUNY Delhi. The broncos were on the offensive much of the first half as they outshot ACPHS 7-1 in the first 20 minutes. The momentum shifted in the 21st minute when Jack Hanlon scored off a Connor Laughlin corner kick for his fourth goal of the season. Hanlon was set up for the goal after Kyle Jenkins selflessly dumbied the cross for his teammate.

ACPHS continued to be on the offensive much of the second half as they outshot Delhi 9-5. Bronco keeper Ryan Hennessy recorded eight saves while Matt Houlihan saved six shots for the Panthers marking his fourth shut out of the season.

The Panthers improve to 5-3 and will return to action tomorrow as they face HVIAC conference opponents Davis College at 2:00pm at home. The game is part of the ACPHS Family Weekend Celebration. In addition to the men's game the ACPHS women's soccer team will be facing SUNY Delhi at 12:00pm, and following the men's game will be the annual ACPHS Alumni Soccer game at 4:30pm.

The college will also be hosting our annual Health and Wellness Expo which is a one-day, full service health fair which will include a 5K Walk/Run plus a number of health-related services and activities. For more information on the Health and Wellness Expo click here .
