Panthers Tie MCLA In Double OT

North Adams, MA- Despite MCLA Women's Soccer starting fast and scoring in the first minute of the game, the Panthers rallied and ultimately drew 2-2 in the non-conference matchup .

The Trailblazers came out flying as Natalie Caney broke free in the clear just 35 seconds into action and slipped it by ACP keeper Kennedy Rives for an early 1-0 lead. The lead would stand until the 18th minute when Panthers leading scorer Erin Tersegno slipped past several Trailblazer defenders only to be taken down in the box and draw a penalty kick.

Tersegno would convert the kick in the lower right corner tying the game at 1-1 where it would remain until halftime.  In the 61st minute, Tersegno again would score off of a through ball from Katie Benson, giving the Panthers the lead and momentum.  The marker was her 23rd of the season.

MCLA would finally net the equalizer in the 75th minute when freshman Kaylyn Holliday would convert her team leading fourth goal of the year tying the game at 2-2 and ultimately sending it into overtime.

Neither team would find the back of the net in either overtime period ultimately resulting in the 2-2 draw.

ACPHS (9-3-1) held a 21-20 shot advantage over MCLA. The Panthers will return to action on Saturday, October 22nd at home when they face the number four seeded Berkeley College at noon in the HVIAC Conference tournament semi-final game.
