BOX SCORENew Rochelle, NY- The ACPHS Women's Basketball team won the HVIAC conference championship tonight after defeating the College of New Rochelle 48-44. The Panthers finish their season undefeated in conference play with an overall record of 19-4.
Leading the way for the Panthers tonight was tournament MVP Becca Foote, who had a 14 point, 16 rebound double-double.
Ayla Thompson was also named to the all-tournament team for her efforts in this week's tournament. Sophomore
Allie Mitchell chipped in 13 points and 3 steals, while
Rochelle Whitton and
Dannie Griffin grabbed 7 rebounds each.
Head Coach Andrew Pelletier was named HVIAC Coach of the Year, while Rochelle Whitton,
Allie Mitchell, and
Dannie Griffin all earned all conference honors.
By winning the HVIAC tournament the Panthers get an automatic bid to the
USCAA National Championship tournament which takes place
March 1st-5th in Uniontown, PA.
