Box Score ACPHS Women's soccer celebrated their senior day with a win on Saturday, beating the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels 13-0 in the 2018 HVIAC Tournament semi-finals. The win improved the Panthers' overall record to 8-4-0.

Prior to the contest, Albany took some time to honor their six seniors, all of which had been major contributors during their time at the College: Erin Tersegno (Webster, NY / Webster Thomas), Cora Bruno (Margaretville, NY / Margaretville Central), Sydney Rule (Ballston Spa, NY / Ballston Spa), Molly Mancini (Galway, NY / Galway), Maggie Lawler (Albany, NY / Guilderland Central), and Katie Benson (Clifton Park / Shenendehowa). Those seniors put on a show during the game, with Tersegno leading the way with three goals and one assist.

It was Tersegno and Mancini who hooked up on the game's first goal in the 2nd minute, and that ended up being all the Panthers needed on a day that saw them dominate possession. ACPHS scored three goals in the opening ten minutes, and ten in the first half. The game was shortened by rain in a second half, giving the Panthers extra time to rest before they face SUNY-ESF in the 2018 HVIAC Women's Soccer Tournament Championship Game tomorrow. The teams have split the last five league championships, which ACPHS winning from 2013-2015 and ESF winning the previous two.
