Box Score The #2-seeded ACPHS Women's Soccer team got the job done on Saturday, defeating the #3-seeded  New Hampshire Technical Institute Lynx 2-1 in their second game of pool play of the 2018 USCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer tournament. With the win, the Panthers now await their fate tomorrow to see if they will advance to the championship game. With the win, the Panthers stand at 9-6-0 overall, while NHTI is now 12-2-1, with both losses coming against ACPHS.

Just like yesterday, Albany got the scoring started thanks to a goal in the opening ten minutes. Senior forward Molly Mancini (Galway, NY / Galway) grabbed her ninth of the season to give Albany the 1-0 lead they so desperately needed. She was assisted by none other than fellow senior Erin Tersegno (Webster, NY / Webster Thomas). And again, just like yesterday, they would concede the equalizer shortly after halftime to NHTI's Aimee Echelberger. But unlike their game against Penn State-Brandywine, it was ACPHS that scored the winner in the 77^th minute. Seniors Cora Bruno (Margaretville, NY / Margaretville Central) and Tersegno hooked up once again, with Bruno recording her third goal and Tersegno her team-leading 12^th assist.

Albany largely deserved the win, dominating possession for large parts of it. The Panthers outshot the Lynx 15-12, with sophomore goalkeeper Gabriella Evangelista (Warwick, NY / Warwick Valley High) making seven saves on eight NHTI shots on goal.

Albany will now await the result of NHTI and Penn State-Brandywine's game tomorrow, a game in which they need the Lynx to beat Brandywine by more than two goals to automatically advance. If the Lynx win by just one, the tournament will have a three-way penalty shootout to determine the winner of Pool A. That game will take place at 12:00 PM tomorrow, November 10^th.
