Lady Panthers Heat Up in the Second Half to Defeat Bard

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - A 15-2 run that bridged the first and second halves proved to be too much to overcome for the Bard College women's basketball team, who lost to ACPHS, 53-41, in a non-league game on Thursday night.

The game was close throughout the first half, and Bard led, 19-16, with 3:58 to go until the break. The Panthers (9-1) outscored the Raptors 8-0 until halftime, then 7-2 to start the second half, and the Raptors didn't get closer than eight the rest of the way.

Senior Kelsey Johnson (Malone, NY) scored 11 of her 17 points in the second half to lead the Panthers to victory. Junior Taylor Sullivan (Troy, NY) added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Panthers will take a break until January 17th when they hit the road to face Vermont Tech at 4:00pm.
