Sophomore guard Emma Webster (Cadyville, NY / Saranac High) made five of her ten three-point attempts on Saturday, leading ACPHS to a big win over Davis College, who are 2-1 in conference play. The win moved ACPHS to 2-2 in the HVIAC which keeps them in the hunt for a bid to the conference tournament.

ACPHS started brightly in this one, jumping out to a 21-15 lead after the opening ten minutes. They only extended that lead in the second quarter, where they outscored the Falcons 24-18 to take a 12-point lead into the break. Davis would come out strong in the second half and cut the Albany lead down to just two heading into the final ten minutes, but some clutch free-throw shooting from the Panthers down the stretch helped them secure their fifth win of the season.

All five ACPHS starters played all 40 minutes in this one, each of which producing a standout stat line. Webster led the team in scoring, hitting five threes on her way to 23 points. Senior Dannie Griffin (Patterson, NJ / Paramus Catholic) was her usual dominant self, finishing with a line of 16 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks. Two round out the lineup, sophomore Olivia Parmeter (Waddington, NY / Madrid Waddington Central) and freshman Daniella Scanlon (Staten Island, NY) chipped in 18 and 15 points respectively, while freshman Ava Misner (Meriden, CT) grabbed eight rebounds and doled out six assists.

The Panthers pick back up conference play on Saturday, February 3rd, when they travel to Brooklyn to take on Pratt Institute at 1pm.
