WOMEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULEMEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE Albany, NY-The ACPHS men's and women's soccer teams have officially released their 2014 schedules. The men's team finished their 2013 season with an overall record of 10-5 and won the HVIAC conference championship in a dramatic 1-0 victory over number one seeded Berkeley College. The women finished their 2013 season with an overall record of 13-3-1 and also won the HVIAC conference championship with a 3-1 win over The King's College.
Along with winning the HVIAC conference championship in 2013, the ACPHS women's soccer team also earned a bid to the USCAA National Championship tournament in Charleston, West Virginia where they upset number three seeded Florida College 3-2 to advance to the final four for the second year in a row.
Both the men and women are seeking to defend their HVIAC conference titles this season. While the men are looking to make their first USCAA National Championship tournament appearance, the women are looking to not only return the the National Tournament, but are hoping to make an appearance in the finals.
"Having advanced to the final four these past two years has been a tremendous experience for our team," said Head Women's Soccer Coach
Christine Kanawada. "We have learned a lot from our participation in the USCAA National Tournament, and are looking to build upon those experiences in order to grow as a team and earn a spot in the finals."
The men will kick off their season at home on September 6th against The King's College, while the women will be traveling to Utica on August 30th to compete in SUNY IT's tournament.
